Anyone who wants to render to a texture could easily modify the system themselves to do so. The DLL has a sample program, and the shadow system does all its texture rendering in one function which is fairly simple and seperate from everything else.

If I implemented it myself I would have to document it and deal with people asking me where to get the DLL and how to install it.

Also the DLL doesn't work on all systems that Blitz does, and I don't know how widespread the issues Bouncer complained about in the original thread are.

It's just not worth it. If someone wants to implement it themselves and post the modified shadow system function here which makes use of it, you're welcome to do so, but I'm not supporting it. :-)
