what i meant is, as a new user to a new pc, ubuntu VS windows, you can pick up ubuntu quicker.
I will guarantee you put some effort into finding stuff in the UI.
For me, ubuntu installed, I wondered where stuff was, clicked, found it. sometimes a scary looking terminal was there but even that is easier than DOS.
The "effort" involved is simply in opening your mind to the fact that it does work. It just doesn't work the same way as Windows, which you are used to.
