If they use the "Harder to install Ubuntu" phrase as an excuse, then why dont they sell a machine that has nothing installed ?.
You can, at least on the buisiness side of their site. Ubuntu is totally easy to install on "linux friendly HW" machines like modern dells HP/Compaqs, levovos(IBMs), fujitsus etc.. easier than windows (and it even lets you surf the web while its doing it on the live CD) however it is more difficult to configure certain stuff if you are used to windows. They should offer the option for simply installed. No extra cost to the machine (or very little) OR for the support included option. Other companies that supply PCs with a linux option dont charge more, they charge less so why should dell?
Its probably because vistas rep is so bad they would find it hard to even give it away ;P Just out of interest are they charging more than XP?
