You know it's not gonna be long before we have screens that are as big, light, and flexible as the one you have hanging on the wall there. It wasn't all that long ago we were still using CRT's. I give it 5-10 years, tops.
They'll also probably roll down from the ceiling like the projector screens they have in schools so that you don't have your whole wall filled with TV all the time. You could put photos and things behind it then.
Either that, or it'll be a hard screen that's transparent when off, and opaque when on. They're already working on that technology.
