I do think that downloadable versions of products should be cheaper than boxed versions that come with packaging, disks, printed manuals, and have to be manufactured and transported.
I refuse to buy a downloadable game if it isn't less than retail. But thats another subject altogether. But if you use something you really should buy it.
As far as video's go. You can rent them from online services like Netflix, 70,000 dvd's to choose from, 3 at a time for $15 with a 48 hour turnaround. I don't think there is much excuse for stealing films unless they are obscure and practicaly impossible to obtain any other way.
One thing that does annoy me is PC games. They should be avaliable for rent in blockbusters just like console games. I don't see a real arguement for not allowing it now. And since 95% of them are rubbish it would be nice to try before you buy.
Assasins creed isn't going to get a PC demo. (wonders how puki got his ;)
So its a game I don't think I'll be buying, even though I waited a good 6 months anticipating its release on the 360. Seems like a bit of a dud and needs to be tried before buying.
