With networking, it seems to work fine once you disable the search ahead and find all computers before giving you access service.

Also not having a network printer as your primary printer stops your computer searching for a printer before opening a word doc or whatever.
First time I tried Office 07 with Vista it took 40 seconds to load a 2kb word document, till I disabled a couple of things and started picking the network printer before printing instead of having a default.
