well if you have a shader 2 card its most likely no problem.
but if you don't have a vertex shader capable card it is actually an issue and vista will die down. as they removed luna and only offer win2k ugly style beside aero, you sadly are out of luck then.
and no, that aren't stone age systems, they even get vista capable. -> GMA 900 for example which only has pixel shader but no vertex shader
