Probably because of the way JRPGs are fairly straight-forward, linear, and simple, where-as western RPGs are usually massive, complex (in comparison), and buggy?
I like both sides of the formula, more-so on the western front if one that perks my interest comes out.
Anyways, 360, PS3......if both of them didn't require an expensive HDTV to enjoy fully I'd have purchased one of the two, but since I don't, I went with the Wii.
(it's annoying to play good games by developers that don't realize the damn text is barely legible on an SDTV)
