In my experience, most of the bugs that are "discovered" after a game has been released have already been identified by testers at some point during the testing process. These bugs are then waived (officially ignored) by tired developers in order to meet unreasonable deadlines, imposed by souless corporate suits, shareholders and marketing scumbags - none of whom care one jot about quality or stability.
For me one thing that ALL games should have to be considered "quality" is thorough testing before release, resulting in a stable game with minimal or no bugs.
