I was using my newest Gaming PC (the nVidia 8800GTX one) and I decided to restart the PC with MSCONFIG using the Diagnostic Startup (load basic devices and services only).
As WindowsXP was kicking in, it came up with a Windows Product Activation box:
Sniffing-nora! All I did was reboot it in diagnostics mode. No new hardware has been installed or changed.
I hope I can save it from dying. All I wanted to do was see how much faster it would run if I just started what I needed.
