I've been really happy with Call of Duty 4. It is just tactical enough. Visually, it's near Crysis except the levels aren't nearly as physically interactive. However, the story is much better and it runs at 60fps. Top it all off with great multiplayer and I think this is quite possibly my favorite game of the year. Of course I don't usually pick favorites and this year has been excellent. Call it a tie:
Super Mario Galaxy
Call of Duty 4
Halo 3
Assasin's Creed (got mixed reviews but I think it's pure work of art)
Crysis
The Orange Box (Portal most of all)
Super Mario Galaxy
Call of Duty 4
Halo 3
Assasin's Creed (got mixed reviews but I think it's pure work of art)
Crysis
The Orange Box (Portal most of all)
