"just imagine
you study english as a second language and some day travel to blighty
and the first people you encounter are chavs :))
innit"
Ah now "Chav". Now thats a word that can truly be analyzed to death ( or in some cases the people the word references :-).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chav
I can just imagine a foreigner asking for directions...
Foreigner "Excuse me can you tell me the way to the Regent Hotel?"
Chav "Yeah right, you go down this street right, take a left right, then another right right and you should see it on your left right"
And what are the poor bug*ers going to wear now that Burberry have stopped production of a chav's favorate item's of clothing. :-)
And remeber at school when spelling "teacher say's it I before E except after C" then can someone explain why "their" is spelt like so?
And one more thing after reading Justluke's post I'm starting to think he may be a "civil servant" with the wording he's used ( BBC Comedy Yes Minister and it's follow up Yes Prime Minister - Sir Humphrey Appleby ( Engish as it was ment be spoken )) :-)
