Actually, I got those papers a long, long time ago. I probably just took a different path than you. I actually have something like 20 hours on my character, but a LOT of that is resting, saving, resting, running out of the zone, resting, saving, etc. Like I said, I think there might be some balance issues with casters.
As to Loneloft, I've wrecked that camp and been to the cave east of there without finding the divine ore. The cave is tiny and there seems to be a switch you can step on, but I haven't figured out if it does anything.
