Maybe it's worth to say that you can also do 2D casual like games just in 3D. This way they often look and feel nicer but still don't need insane budgets. It's somehow funny to read that for some the step from 2D to 3D automatically means going full price and AAA instead of just providing the same gameplay more nicely presented.
