The graphics, the physics, the interactivity, etc. etc. all combine to produce realism, obviously. Manhunt 2 is considered extremely distasteful because you interactively commit brutal torturous murders with a high level of realism.
Doesn't look at all realistic to me, but I guess it's different for people (e.g., you) that have never seen someone die. So you want to know why Manhunt 2 was banned?
