It isn't the hardware, both linux and XP run network games perfectly on the same machine (i finaly found my xp disk & put that sucker on there!- yay!)
Its gotta be either a vista or driver fault, not hardware.
(Also, all firewalls were completely disabled during all of my experiments described from the top.)
Im just annoyed i now need to TRIPPLE boot because vista simply isn't doing what its supposed to.
