Same old look & feel, but add 2007 file format compatibility. No reason *at all* to 'upgrade'
Except I can't "downgrade" again. But thanks for the tip, I'll pass it on to everyone else. :o> Also, i wouldnt trust the security as far as i could throw an AS400 'minicomputer'
You couldn't even lift it, much less throw it. :o> I cant wait to try the 3dmax remote webbased client (not)
Actually I saw a demo years ago (10-15?) of SoftImage running in a browser (a browser written in Java no less) using VRML (this was before Microsoft bought it) - was quite impressive. Sure it was running on a state-of-the-art SillyGraphics workstation, but PC have done a lot of catching up in the last 10 years. Give it another 10 years or so and I'm sure we'll get there... i wouldnt be surprised if governments are encouraging, praying & hoping for it too as it will be 1000000000 times easier to spy on people and buisinesses.
Well they can hope and pray all they want. An open standard is almost guaranteed to ensure privacy and prevent nosy government agencies from snooping were they don't belong.
