Lol yes just a crossover cable, nothing fancy.
Its 2 windows PCs XP 1 vista, nothing to do with linux.

(However, neither pc has a problem talking to my main linux PC V6 or not. (linux does support V6, ubuntu at least does)) I did have a problem before running stuff from my server but that was the UAC stopping that. This is now working with UAC disabled.
