C and C++

Now I realize you understand that this "proof" is a "spoof", but just to make sure some C++ hater doesn't get deceived (I've seen it happen) by this article, remember:
And yes, it is a spoof

Personally i think C++ is a jumbled mess that just happens to have similar syntax to C.

C++ isn't a perfect language, but neither is any other (QBasic, for example). And FYI, it's not any coincidence that it has practically identical syntax to C. It's was called C++ for a reason (or "C With Classes", if you want to quibble).

I agree that C# seems to be "better" than C++ in that it solves many of the old problems often associated with C++ and is a much more "modern" language, but I really haven't used it enough yet to tell whether it's really "better" in the long run or not.

Regarding VB, I personally do not like it at all as a development tool, but that's just an opinion. Yes, BASIC languages are easier to learn because they're more "verbose", but when you get into the programming (beyond the language, into the logic), I vastly prefer the curly brace style of C#/C++. But BlitzMax is actually one of the few BASIC languages that I still like.
