Mine was a 233Mhz Packard Bell which I got from PC World (I didin't know these guys were dodgy back then). I must have paid over £1200 for it and they sold me additional rubbish such as extended warranty and their after sales support called "mastercare".
I think this was around 1997-8 and it was touted as a "multimedia" PC back then (Pentium/MMX). Came with ATI Rage card and Windows 95. I have no idea what else that machine had(soundcard, RAM, HDD space) as I had just moved from an Amiga 1200 and PC's were pretty new for me.
The PC also came with the latest game (MDK) which was quite popular back then and I later bought a flight sim called Total Air War which was quite addictive for its day.
