Anatoly - you say that Nancy Drew games are c**p but sell extremely well. If people don't enjoy playing them then why do they buy them? Note that I have never played, or seen, a Nancy Drew game myself.
I would gladly play adventure games in the spirit of the old sierra adventures (Space Quest 1-3, Heros Quest/QFG 1, Gold Rush, Larry 1-3) in fact with the current technology, as seen by some chat bots, I would think it would be possible to go back to having keyboard entry for talking/dialog rather than selecting options from a menu/list and allow for more dynamic conversations than simply - select each item from list until next stage of plot is unlocked.
