New episodic Sam & Max series - interactive cartoons, nothing more...
Other crap episodic shareware games - all nostalgic crap and waste of money...
Ankh was nothing more than a poor Monkey Island imitation minus the humor and smart puzzles...
Runaway 2 - got good reviews, but still can't get why...
And in the midst of all this Tim Schafer releases a platformer... Psychonauts... AND IT ROCKS!
I gotta admit that the scene is getting more active recently and there's quite a few promising projects by new developers as well as some of the masters (Jane Jensen), but I lost my hopes in the genre revival long time ago...
