Was Born Rich.
Do you think to look up ANYTHING you say? Or is Google just an obfuscating defence mechanism?
In the early days of Student and the start of his mail order business, Branson wasn't subsidised by his family, who weren't rich. As far as I'm aware (I've read his autobiography), the only capital injection from his family into his business was when his aunt mortgaged her house to loan him a relatively small amount of cash (10s of thousands of pounds). His parents also bought him as a present a second hand car, which he then gave to Mike Oldfield in return for performing live to promote Tubular Bells. That's not a great deal more than my personal arragements. It's certainly average at best for a middle class family. Branson wasn't born into poverty, but he wasn't born into wealth, either.
Of course a hell of a lot of ultra rich businessmen were born into money (Trump for example, but Trump Sr wasn't). But that doesn't mean they all were, and claiming that in a blanket manner is just silly.
It would be like me assuming that everything you write is unresearched dribble, when in reality it's probably only 50/50.
