the mirror thing is a good point.
besides.. its was a race to get to the moon... Russia would have been monitoring all flights and all incoming data coming from anything the US sent up just as the US was doing to them.
Would Russia really have kept quiet if there was even the slightest hint that the lander did not go to the moon and the transmissions did not come from the moon ?
I do agree that the images may have been 'tweaked' for general consumption just so they look good.
I bet if a mission goes to the moon again and shows photographic evidence of all the junk left behind ( the rovers, flags etc ) the conspiracy theories would just get adjusted to say that the 'junk' isnt from the original flights but were placed there at a later date.
