You + BlitzMax + My money = Game?

Flameduck:
Hey, $12 an hour is pretty good for a young person with no debt. Most of the hourly wage jobs I've taken in the past have paid $7-$9 an hour. Let's see... work at Burger King, or code a shareware game at home at your leisure for more money? :-)

Also, I'm just being cautious with the first game I'm doing like this. I'm not getting a million dollars. I could burn through this money fast and have nothing to show for it if I'm not careful. If I work with someone and the game does well enough, they'll get paid much better on the next title if we continue to work together. May not be the most ideal arrangement, but it's better than nothing.

That's a good deal, but I'm not sure I could get everything together (art, music) that quickly and have the money for you by then. I don't want to be hasty in choosing an artist and musician, and I have to wait for a house sale to complete before I can start paying people. I'll probably have the money somewhere between mid of August and the end of September. And I'll probably be shooting for the game to get done sometime in November.
