Ran it again.
First, your input box has
Fullscreen : Yes or Cancel
This time I took the Cancel Option which I'd guessed was Windowed mode (and easier to get out of in case of problems).
VSync : Yes or Cancel
I took the Yes option (and later the Cancel option)
Things displayed OK and all seemed smooth.
I don't really want to take the FullScreen 'Yes' option again.
