I think that the iMac has most bang for your buck..
The specs are quite good, and the screen is very good, in my opinion..

but if you're thinking of buying, there's a rumour that it's getting a nice (well deserved) upgrade in August (or thereabout)..

Personally, I'd wait for that.. (in addition, if you wait until October, you get the new OSX version too)...
