I was thinking that but didn't want to post anything to turn the thread in to a "He needs this info for ilegal purposes" thread.
I was thinking more along the lines of a "I'd hate to see him waste time writing something he thinks the police are going to buy from him when they already have far better technology on the occasions they're permitted to use it anyway" but I guess it's much the same, and will probably be received as you were afraid it would have been.
