@Mustang: Explorer > Tools > Folder Options > View Tab
Select 'Apply to Folders' to apply the current view to all folders of that type.
BUT, you have to do this for -every- folder template... Documents, Music, Pictures etc. You can select the folder templates by right clicking the folder, select Properties, then Customize.
I like Vista. UAC lasted about 30 minutes before being disabled and lots of other little annoyances, but overall it makes XP seem antiquated. You definately need good hardware though, 3.6 is a low performance score siread (it's not out of 5).
