The book is a very good book. I have it and found it useful for learning BlitzMax. Wave's intro is also good as well, especially since it is free.
The examples do work, and the read is in plain English with all source code explained. Even the print is easy enough to read as its all on 8x10 paper, and large print.
There are source code samples found in the book for download on his site as well. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting to start with BlitzMax.
