OS apps on Mac with BlitzMax..?

Hello,

I purchased BlitzPlus for Windows back in 2003. I have since gotten an iMac, and love the Mac system!

Can BlitzMax be used to create normal OSX applications, or is ONLY 2D games and such? I have read about BlitzMax in here, but couldn't find anything about this?
