Only thing nice about ASP.NET 2.0 for me was the fact it had Visual Web Developer that supported it, which made making your site work with a database so much easier, as I didn't have to remember all the commands and parameters since it had a drag-and-drop toolbox listing all the generic stuff and a drop-down parameters list.

There's not a PHP variant/equivelent of that I assume.
