Funny how sledge has to resort to sarcasm, my point was that the Amiga was superior in some areas. As a side note doom was also 2d, ID didnt write a true 3d game until Quake, the reason the amiga sucked at doom games was because it used bitplane graphics compared to the PC's chunky mode. At the time the a1200 was released, the average PC was still using vesa gfx with 4-16 colours and no sound.
