Okay, to expand on that:
Its easy to say the pc was better if you pick the 1 genre
...that mattered. 2D games were approaching the end of their commercial popularity, man. What was the point of being good at 2D scrolling with the PlayStation era just around the corner? Amiga owners were not looking at Doom and saying "Very nice, but I bet it can't do Superfrog". They really, really weren't.
