I'm back - bought a brand new Phillips 17" with DVI lead.
Guess what - still no signal from the new computer.
I am using this new monitor now on my old computer - so I know the monitor is okay.
So, I am down on another £160.00. I thought I'd take the risk - but didn't work out.
I'm assuming the DVI connector on a graphics card is like the normal VGA D-Sub one - ie you don't have to activate it - it should just be plug-n-play.
The 8800 GTX has 2 DVI sockets - neither one is producing a signal.
Any ideas?
