I started out using WYSIWYG editors a couple of years ago and manually making every page for my site. It worked but it was a PITA to maintain.
Figured that now was the time to learn how to do it properly. I started to learn bits of HTML a few months ago although I still do use Nvu a fair bit.
I've also picked up the basics of PHP which is pretty nice to use, and spent most of yesterday converting my site from PHP arrays containing data, to SQL. SQL is just so damn easy to use, I don't know why I've been putting it off for so long.
Its all working great now (not the holding page in my sig - its all sat on my hard drive atm) and its actually been fun doing it.
