What if I believe the word, of someone who has been in outerspace and seen that the earth is a globe?
He saw what was either a globe, or a flat plane that curved light away from it, making it seem that the further (in X,and z to use B3D), you looked away from the point you were above, the more away (in Y) the spot you were looking at seemed, until the light curved away so much non of it reached the observer. He had taken someones word for it, who took someones word for it, who took someones word for it, who decided that a globe made the orbits of the solar bodies make more sence.
It not a question of what he saw, its a question of the interpritation for the reason for it.
What you are saying is no different than if I asked you to prove germ theory. You can't. You can prove microscopic organisms exist, but you can't prove that inside a human body, they cause disease. You can say it is most likely, since those organisms are always present in someone with the disease and not in someone who doesn't have it. But it could be an ellaborate coincidence and really be caused by magic.
Yes I can, I can get the tissue that they are poported to attack, and I can watch them attack it under a microscope. But even if I couldnt, that would just show another thing that cannot be proven.

True. So whats wrong with me saying you only assume the earth is a Globe. Im not the one stateing something as scientific Fact, Im saying that although the most likely reason, It cannot be proven to be true.
Instead of tying to prove the earth is a Globe you have asked ME to prove that its not a cylinder, and then to prove Germs exists? You cannot prove the earth a globe, because it cannot be proven. This doesnt mean it isnt one, just that you cannot prove it so.
If the metric isnt constant and get either bigger or smaller (depending on if you want an infinate plane of not), the further away from the point of rotation. And light curves away from its surface, then there isnt any evidence that will show the earth to be a globe as opposed to a flat plane.
Just because its more likely that light travels in straight lines and the a Yard is always the same length (And also doesnt curve), just means that a globe is most likely shape.
You could try to argue, that if you drilled a hole right through the centre of the earth, and then got a telescope you could see a (Lets assume china), chinese bloke waving to you. And I would then say that when you are under the earth, light still curves and that seeing him just shows you have dug a curve and not a straight line.
