Also, explain how doing so isn't proof that the earth is at least a cylinder.
Well, a cylinder has two open points, where as a globe and an infinatly flat plane dont. But the point is, Im not trying to prove the earth is flat, (or a cylinder), but rather that is cannot be shown that the earth is Globe.

If it was so obvious that the earth was a globe, why did anyone ever think otherwise? Its only obvious to you, because you have been told it is so, yet you cannot prove it. You have taken someones word for it, who took someones word for it, who took someones word for it, who decided that a globe made the orbits of the solar bodies make more sence. This force is detectable by you, just go and look at the horizon, see the way you cannot see things more than about 25 miles away. That the effect of this force pushing the light away.
I see no such effect of light being pushed away. I do however see the effect of the atmosphere distorting the light.
In the globe model you cannot see them because they are over the horizon (which is about 3.5 miles away). It the flat model which needs to expalin the light being distorted.
