DampeS8N, for what my opinion is worth, I think you should keep up with your designs but spend some of your spare time, if not learning how to code, then at the minimum downloading Clickteam's "Multimedia Fusion 2" and playing with it. It's got a 30 day free trial.

What is it? It's a "game maker" program that requires no real coding. It doesn't even require scripting, per se. You can easily drag and drop objects/sprites around a "frame" (basically a level, or what will be seen on screen) and then go to the event editor and set up an event like "When ball_Sprite collides with left edge of screen -> Play Sound "Doink.wav" + Make ball_sprite bounce."

I remember years ago, using the predecessor to MMF, a program called "Click and Create" (and before that - "Klik and Play") and me and my friend made a simple game where you each controlled a strange creature (using some of the animated sprites that came with the program). When player one pressed attack, lightning bolts would come down from the top of the screen in a diagonal motion . Player 2's attack was a wider but slower moving projectile that shot in the direction he was facing. Whenever a players attack object hit the other player, it would subtract their health until one was dead.

It was simple, sure, but it was actually kind of fun. The best part was - it literally only took about 30-45 minutes to make. I had some experience with the program, sure, but it doesn't take more than a month or so to get enough experience where you can whip out simple games or concept prototypes with ease.

Seriously, check it out. www.clickteam.com
