you missed the point.

Your ability to program a game is not a marker for your ability to design one.

I disagree strongly. Game design is an iterative process. You can't know whether something is fun or not until you make it and try it. At least, no normal person can. You say you're a savant in this area, but there's no evidence to support it. You THINK that what you come up with will make a good game, but it's never been tested.

Right now, there's no real way to make a game without coding one, unless you can hire people to code it for you. Learn to code well enough to prototype, or mod an existing game, and get creating. Otherwise you'll spend your entire life talking about being able to do something instead of actually doing it.

Also,

Since most indie designers are very solo in their game-making, I don't find a lot of partners. I can say that I have never, in over 100 projects, quit. I can't say any of them have been completed. The ones I started myself, which were few, the other team members crapped out on. And the same is true of the ones I didn't start.

That's a weak excuse. You don't think it's your fault because you justify your own actions and place the blame on the other team members, but that doesn't mean it wasn't your fault. Some people sit around and make up excuses and other people stand up, clench their teeth and don't give up when the going gets tough. I battle daily trying not to be in the first camp. So should you.

Anyway, what I'm saying is, close this window NOW, start working on something and finish it. No excuses.
