Interesting. I still haven't applied for this. You have to have paid yourself AT LEAST £15,000 in a salary to be able to claim your salary (or part of it) as R&D. Also it's hard to say what is really R&D that benefits the whole IT community when making a game as most people hide their source :-) My framework is the closest to that I guess.
Anyway I'll be interested in hearing the new definition and how it applies to game development to see if it's of any use to me.
