It's definitely not annoying by any means and they didn't limit it more than Diablo II. They expanded it with many more options. I played EQ, DS, Diablo I/II, and many more rpgs and TitanQuest is great hack and slash fun. The graphics are gorgeous, plenty of gear/upgrades, quests, augments to put in weapons. It's really great stuff.
I haven't seen any valid reasons to bash the game here other than maybe it's not someone favorite type of game. I personally don't like RTS games so I won't be praising Starcraft etc.
