a ridiculous (13) amount of floppy discs
Then again, there's Monkey Island II, which came on 12 discs and is absolutely brilliant.
Many brilliant PSX games used multiple CDs or so much data space that simply wasn't possible on any other console at the time...
Extra space might not guarantee an excellent game, but it guarantees the possiblility of a more excellent game. Umm. Yeh.
Dvds again gave the benefit of being able to fit more textures, audio, whatever, though the improvement wasn't as drastic.
Compare the scope of San Andreas to Vice City. I'd call that pretty drastic.
Basically, to state that more space makes games better without exception is obviously just as daft as saying more space makes games worse. But nobody ever said that the extra space will make every game ever kick ass... trolls go home.
