Nintendo wins the handheld and console market.

I would wait a year or more before I declare a winner, but
yeah, they are doing surprisingly, fantastically well, aren't
they?

Last generation, right before I bought my PS2, I was sorrily
thinking to myself "Well Ninty, it's been good. Nice knowing ya"

But now the underdog's come out on top, and I'm visibly
happy about it. I would buy a Wii, if only I could find one.

@dynaman:

Me: Smart programmers and good artists can use
the space available on a single cd to make a beautiful game.

Dynaman: True, but those same smart people should be able to do more with even more space.

Also true, but as you increase disc space to achieve better
graphical quality, you get a diminishing return.

As FlameDuck said, when Cds first came out to replace floppies,
of course the quality increased tremendously. Dvds again
gave the benefit of being able to fit more textures, audio,
whatever, though the improvement wasn't as drastic. Now,
Blue Ray or HDDVD are admittedly an improvement over DVDs,
but it's nearly insignificant compared to the upgrades of
the past. The generation of storage mediums after this one
will likely be even more unimportant.

I mean, am I right, Or what?
