I really do think that if there was some decent collaborative `sharing` software, it would make it a lot more productive and encourage better teamwork for internet-based groups. That Pervasive3d thing looked interesting for a while.
Surely there has to be some advantage to being able to see all your project files and edit them `together` at the same time while holding an audio/text chat. I was part of a team a few years back and we had to have weekly meetings on an IRC channel to try to coordinate things, it wasn't always very productive.
