Forget fish - make some nicely animated fantasy/medieval animated characters. That's what he really wants - he wants them to fish for the fish - as well as lots of the usual anims - walk, run, idles, fighting, sleeping, eating, drinking, etc - as well as fishing. Probably best to add gutting and cooking too.
