Yes it is worth, I work each day with them, but the ASUS has a very good quality as well. It outperformed most of its opponents and at this price it was just a "have to take it".
I know that Dells are good as well. Owned an Inspiron 8200 notebooks for 2 years and the display was fantastic ... but I just did not have that much money to buy a "TFT with console usage capabilities", nor do I really have the space to put a 24" there ... the 20" already eats quite a lot of the quite restricted space of my 9.5 m2 room :)
my endconfig looks similar to vinyls: PC @ VGA, Wii @ Component, PS Two @ composite. Thats what I bought it for and it does that job very very well :)
