Gaming has always been worse in general under Vista, that should be common knowledge by now. But as I've said, results are not so poor to be worthwhile considering. I know the average spotty braindead overclocking first person shooter kid might care deeply about 1 or 2 (or 5) frames per second, but seriously...
WRT the DRM/HD processing crap, turns out that it's actually up to the application to decide whether Vista should degrade quality or not - you can probably expect good programs like Media Player Classic to enjoy HD-DVD and BluRay processing in the future with no quality loss (hardware permitting).
