PS2 still worth it ?

I also have the slimline PS2, and it seems to have better backwards compatibility than anything for the PS1 games, that much I can tell ya.

Actually, that's incorrect, quite the reverse. A number of PS1 games which work with the old-style PS2 don't work with the slimline. But then there are a bunch of PS2 budget titles which don't work with the slimline either.
