I like XP. It works for what i want it to do. Like most other people who use it i know. Typical home users i don't think will have much of a problem. If you keep a firewall running, you should be ok. Games work fine. Software works fine too. If something breaks in XP, it's usually easily fixable.
I'd imagine Linux people would have problems if everyone used linux. It would be the main focus of internet attackers.
